Wineries

In Santorini you will find about ten wineries scattered throughout the island. Most of them can be visited upon request and you can wander around their premises and follow a wine tasting ritual. You can also visit the Wine Museum to get to know the history of wine in Santorini.

Wineries in Santorini

Boutaris Winery

A modern winery located at the “heart” of Santorini’s vineyard, the village of Megalochori. You can visit the Boutaris winery all year round with a guided tour and wine tasting. You can also watch at the theater of the winery a video presentation of wine history of Santorini.

Canava Roussos

This is the oldest winery in Santorini dating back to 1836. Roussos family are making wines with great respect to tradition and you can visit the winery and have a wine tour at the vineyard and take part at a wine tasting with lots of Greek appetizers (mezedes).

Domaine Sigalas

Located at the north part of Santorini, in the peaceful area of Baxedes, Domaine Sigalas gave some of the most awarded wines. You can follow a guided  tour at the vineyards of the domaine and taste the wines in the really beautiful wine tasting room of the domain.

Estate Argyros

Established in 1903 Estate Argyros has given some of the best Vinsanto wines in Santorini. It is located in the village of Episkopi Gonia and it has a beautiful atmosphere.

Gaia Winemakers

An old tomato factory was transformed into a modern winery with the latest wine making equipment and gives some of the best wines in Santorini, like Thalassitis. It is located between the Kamari village and the beach of Monolithos and you can enjoy a wine tasting in its premises.

Gavalas Vineyard

The Gavalas family is at the wine making scene of Santorini for more than 300 years. It is here that you can find wines made with rare varieties of Santorini’s wines such as katsano or gaidouria. The atmosphere in the canava is really impressive.

Hatzidakis Winery

Some of the most awarded wines of Santorini are made in this small winery in Pyrgos village.  Apart from the interesting wine tasting here you can enjoy the view to the island.

A winery with history that hosts the unique Wine Museum in Santorini that deserves a visit to learn everything about the history of wine making in Santorini through wax. At the winery you can enjoy a wine tasting.
